Naar aanleiding van hun 25e verjaardag deed Gorgoroth een tour samen met Melechech, Incite en Earth Rot. Hun eerste optreden vond plaats in De Kreun in Kortrijk, en wij waren erbij. Aangezien het event doorging op een dinsdag en al om 18u30 hadden we de eerste band gemist maar het beste moest toch nog komen. Tijdens Incite was er nog niet veel volk en kon ik vrij rondlopen, aangezien er geen fotopit was was dit wel ideaal. Bij Melechesh en vooral Gorgoroth was het al wat moeilijker om naar voren te raken. Maar ik had me een perfecte plaats uitgekozen want ik stond recht voor Hoest. Enige voorzichtigheid met mijn camera was wel nodig, aangezien hij heel vaak de neiging had om rond zich te schoppen. Na een avond vol black en heel wat pogingen tot goede fotoresultaten (het rode licht en de rook was niet altijd ideaal) keerde ik tevreden en voldaan terug naar Gent.

Following the 25th birthday of Gorgoroth, they undertook a tour with Melechech, Incite and Earth Rot. Their first stop was at De Kreun in Kortrijk and we were there. Since the event already started at 18h30 on a Tuesday, we had to miss the first band due to work and traffic. During Incite there wasn’t that much people yet and I could walk around freely, which was ideal since there isn’t a photo pit at this venue. During Melechesh and especially Gorgoroth it was already quite a bit more difficult to get to the front rows. Luckily I had chosen myself a perfect spot cause I was positioned right in front of frontman Hoest. Some caution with my camera was needed though, since he regularly was kicking around him. After an evening filled with black and many attempts to get decent pics (red light and smoke weren’t helping) I returned to Gent satisfied and well.
