Grimm’s Videoland pt. 3 (May 13th – 20th 2016)

GRIMM Gent aims to please. And we intend to do this by providing you an overview of the new music video releases of the past week. Publishing every time just before or at the beginning of the weekend, it could possibly give you some tunes to enjoy in your free time!
Welcome to Grimm’s Videoland!

Napalm Records

After the release of their latest record Trust No One, DevilDriver released the official video for the song Daybreak. The Californian groove metal outfit released the album through Napalm Records last week, read our review here.

Napalm Records also released the lyric video for Rebirth By Fire by German hard rock band Zodiac. Their 4th installement Grain of Soul is to be released on July 27th, 2016.

Nuclear Blast

Symphonic metal band Almanac released a lyric video for No More Shadows from the already available album Tsar. Almanac, lead by ex-RAGE guitarist Victor Smolski, found its home with Nuclear Blast Records.

Hardcore giants Hatebreed released a video for yet another song from The Concrete Confessional. This time you can start moshing to the tunes of A.D. in this visualizer video.

After Vimic released a visualizer for Simple Skeletons last week, this week they came with an official music video for the song She Sees Everything, also from the upcoming debut album Open Your Omen. For those who didn’t read last week’s videoland: this is the new band around Joey Jordison. It seems that Roadrunner Records probably have found another succes story here.

Talking about succes stories, French masters of progressive and technical death metal Gojira treated us on a video for Silvera from their upcoming masterwork Magma (June 17th, 2016).

Volbeat has been releasing videos on a quite steady pace to promote their upcoming album Seal the Deal & Let’s Boogie (June 3rd, 2016), to be released through Vertigo/Capitol Records, a part of Universal Music Group. This time it’s a lyric video for Seal the Deal, get ready to rock and bang your head!

Metal Blade

A maybe somewhat weird band for Metal Blade Records, is the NY rock band Mother Feather. Last week they released the official video for Mirror, of their record of the same name.

If you need to charge up on some proper metal again after the earlier video, Cattle Decapitation released a NSFW video for Clandestine Ways (Krokodil Rot). The song comes from their 2015 album The Anthropocene Extinction and serves you a heavy dose of progressive death metal and grindcore to make you shake on your feet.

English blues rock band The Temperance Movement released a video for White Bear from the album with the same name. The band with links to Deep Purple and Jamiroquai is signed under Earache Records

Swedish Stonewall Noise Orchestra delivers us a great rock ‘n’ roll and stoner rock song with Welcome Home, from the upcoming album The Machine, The Devil & The Dope (May 20th 2016), to be released through Steamhammer/SPV.

On Prosthetic Records they first released a new song by aggressive hardcore outfit Yüth Forever. Growing Pains is a song from upcoming album Skeleton Youth Forever  (June 3rd, 2016).

A bit later in the week they released something completely different with progressive metal band Heaven’s Cry. The song Outcast from the upcoming album (June 3rd, 2016) with the same name was the chosen one here.

Last week we yet again overlooked a video, this time it was the videoclip for Sunday, one of the songs from Iggy Pop‘s latest album Post Pop Depression, which was a collaboration with Josh Homme from Queens Of The Stone Age. If you want to get to know more about this release, go check out our review.

That’s all folks! See you next week!
