Preview Jera On Air 2018

/ By :

With the cancellation of Groezrock earlier this year, the annual punkrock and hardcore party is moved across the border. We’re setting our sights on Jera On Air, bringing us the top of the bill of bands in these genres!

The bands

JOA brings a perfect mix of golden oldies and fresh blood. Headliners this year are NoFX, Billy Talent, Enter Shikari, Sick Of It All… Bands we already know and that don’t need an introduction anymore. Though make sure you dig through the line-up properly to discover smaller and upcoming bands that are definitely worth your time like for instance our very own (and only) Belgian band Arson!

Go here if you want to buy your tickets still!

Accomodation

JOA offers a camping next to the festival. Only people in possession of a camping wristband will get acces to the campsite. A campsite ticket will give you access to the campsite on June 28, 29 and 30. Illegal camping is strictly prohibited. There are also some other possibilities at the campsite such as the Kartents, Hangover, Luxury Tents, The snoozer, Power-up and Energizer. You can find more information on the website of Jera On Air.

If you come to the festival with a camper or a trailer, you can go to the camper and trailer campsite De Pionier.

For those who prefer to stay in a hotel, we recommend to book a room at the Asteria Hotel in Venray. The employees of this hotel are well briefed about the festival and can answer all your questions, for example travel options to the festivalsite.

Food & Drinks

There are all kinds of delicious snacks available on the festival grounds. There will be something for everybody. Vegetarian, vegan, French fries and snacks and a lot more.

Earlier JOA announced a partnership with Jupiler, which is good news for the beer lovers. But even better news for those who like their beers more tasty and special, is that they have a so called “Punkrock Bar” in cooperation with Van Moll Craft Beer with lovely beers like “Langharig Tuig” (for our review of the beer go here), “Ons Blackie”, “Twisted sister” and the official Jera On Air beer “Bloody Herrie”, a lovely and refreshing blood orange IPA!

Food and drinks are to be paid with drinking coupons, available at the festival grounds and the website.
