Preview SteelChaos 2018

We’re at it again: after the big succes of last year’s first edition of SteelChaos (for our report of that edition go here), we are set to go enjoy 2 days of underground debauchery and darkness. The little indoors brother of of Steelfest Open Air (for our report of this year’s edition go here) will take place the second weekend of November. And the line-up is yet again filled with impressive and often exclusive names in the underground, mostly black, metal scene and will draw many fans of the dark and extreme to the shores of Helsinki…

The sick line-up of this year’s edition looks as followed, with the exception of Blaze of Perdition being replaced by Thy Darkened Shade (for the schedule click on the picture below):

Besides the obvious names that immediate attract attention like PrimordialMarduk and the Finnish misfits of Impaled Nazarene, you can find the return of Bölzer on the line-up after last year’s cancellation. Besides that there are a couple of exclusive and special shows again like Arcturus‘ “old school set – first two albums”, the “meathook-show” of True Black Dawn, the 20th anniversary of Evil Angel and the “Valo Pohjoisesta” album release gig by Finnish black metal veterans Azaghal, with on top of that still several high quality and highly valued bands in the underground extreme music scene…

If the days are planned like last year, every day the doors will open at 18h00, first band starting at 19h00 and a festival day should last well into the night, so everything will take place in absolute and utter darkness. The event takes place again at the legendary Nosturi in Helsinki, the perfect place for such an undertaking with its industrial look and feel and great location with its walking distance from the city center. Make sure you get your ticket right away, because with this line-up we wouldn’t be too surprised if it gets sold out! Tickets are sold right now here, be fast is the message…
