Lucky us in Ghent, we got the honour of getting the first date on Eivør and Ásgeir‘s fall tour this year! Or, “The one where things can go wrong”, to quote Eivør. Ah but the way those minor mishaps become bonding moments with the audience make the shows all the more special!
Elinborg gave us the perfect start to the evening, setting the mood masterfully. When it gets so quiet you can hear a pin drop because everyone’s mesmerised, you’re in for a special treat.
This was my second time seeing Eivør in 2 months, but every time is an experience all it’s own and a magical moment. And I’d clearly been living under a rock for not knowing Asgeir or Elinborg‘s music, don’t sleep on them folks – there’s magic there. The presence combined with the vulnerability all three of these artists bring is so disarming and enchanting. A delightful emotional ride.
