Dizzy Sunfist sign to Fat Wreck Chords and share fiery new song

Pop Punk, Punk, Punk Rock

Fat Wreck Chords is proud to welcome Japan natives Dizzy Sunfist to the label. To celebrate the partnership, the band released its first single through the label, “The Dream Is Not Dead (Fat Wreck Version)” available now on all streaming platforms. Listen HERE. The song also arrives in tandem with a new music video – watch now HERE.

Dizzy Sunfirst Shares:

“As long as you don’t give up, the dream is not dead. This song was written like a reminder to ourselves. Even if you fall down or take the long way around, we believe this song can give a little push to anyone still trying to move forward.”

On Signing To Fat Wreck Chords:

“One day, out of nowhere, an email arrived through the Dizzy Sunfist website.

“Mike is interested in your band.”

We could never have imagined that FAT WRECK CHORDS would contact a Japanese band like us. We could never have imagined that our music would reach Mike. We’re truly grateful to FAT for making us feel that falling in love with PUNK ROCK and continuing this band was absolutely worth it. Now that we have the honor of carrying that logo, we’ll keep doing things our own way and deliver PUNK ROCK to the world with everything we’ve got.”

Dizzy Sunfist is a melodic punk band formed in 2009.
The band is heavily influenced by Japanese and international melodic punk and hardcore. In September 2013, Dizzy Sunfist signed with CAFFEINE BOMB RECORDS and released their first nationally distributed mini album FIST BUMP.
In July 2014, they released their second mini album SUPER DELICIOUS, which reached No.5 on the Oricon Indies Chart. In March 2016, the band released their first full-length album Dizzy Beats.
This was followed by their second full album DREAMS NEVER END in January 2018. In November 2018, Dizzy Sunfist held their first overseas tour, the DREAMS NEVER END Asia Tour, performing 10 shows across 6 countries. To celebrate their 10th anniversary, the band held headline shows on March 9 at Namba Hatch in Osaka and on March 16 at Studio Coast in Shin-Kiba, Tokyo.
The Tokyo show sold out with an audience of 2,200 people. In July, the release of the EP EPISODE II, available exclusively via mail order and at live venues, marked the band’s signing with major label Nippon Columbia.
In 2021, Dizzy Sunfist released their third single ANDY, followed by their third full-length album DIZZYLAND – To Infinity & Beyond – on October 27. After several lineup changes, MEG officially joined the band in September 2025, completing the current lineup. The band’s message, The Dream Is Not Dead, strongly resonates with audiences and remains one of their signature live anthems.
In Japan, Dizzy Sunfist has performed at major festivals such as SATANIC CARNIVAL, Kyoto Daisakusen, SUMMER SONIC, and OSAKA HAZIKETEMAZARE FESTIVAL.
As a female-fronted melodic punk band, they continue to lead the Japanese melodic punk scene with powerful live performances and constant momentum.
