Tara Lynch – Evil Enough

/ / By :

In case you’ve been following the progressive metal scene in Belgium somewhat up close you might have come across the name Tara Lynch already on the credits of the fourth album of  Beyond The Labyrinth, The Art of Resilience , for which she wrote and performed some solos. In that period Tara also began work on her own solo debut, Evil Enough, which has now seen the light of day three years later.

She enlisted the help of the “crème de la crème” in the melodic rock & metal scene to record this album. On drums for instance you’ll find none other than Vinny Appice, the legendary skinbasher from Dio, Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne. Likewise you have Tony Macalpine on keyboards and Glen Sobel from Alice Cooper’s house band.

Tara is not only a gifted guitar player, but she’s also proving herself to be a more than adequate heavy metal singer as she takes lead vocals on most of the songs. She’s backed up there by Mark Boals, a veteran in his own right who’s worked with Yngwie Malmsteen and The ScorpionsUli Jon Roth to name but a few.

Evil Enough is a dream come true for Tara and the result of years of hard work, but it paid off in the end. If you are at all a fan of classic dyed in the wool melodic heavy metal, you should give this record a chance. It’s not being released on any huge label or so, just the product of labor and love for the genre. So show you have your metal heart in the right place and support this rocking lady.
