Music lovers were transported into a trance during King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard’s psychedelic rock adventure at Vorst Nationaal in Brussels. The Australian band, notorious for their energetic live shows and experimental sounds, took the audience on a whirlwind tour of genres, from garage rock to metal and funk. Whenever Finnish bands travel around in other parts of the world, we tend to try catch them live at least once. The “Glory and the Beast” tour brought together three of the most exciting bands in the European power metal scene: Brothers Of Metal, Gloryhammer and our Finnish friends of Beast in Black. The tour enthralled fans throughout Germany with a spectacular blend of epic melodies and high-energy performances. See and feel the power of this night of their stop-over in Stuttgart, Germany!
Last Monday, TuskaLive and Grey Beard Concerts & Management brought the carnival to town. To be precise, the Swedish band Avatar and along with them Æther Realm from the USA. Avatar played a very fun show at Olympia-Kortteli in Tampere, including magic tricks, balloons and of course some good old heavy metal.
At the end of January, Battle Beast and Merta came through Tampere’s Pakkahuone for a powerful sold out show presented by Tuhdimmat Tahdit and Master Events.
The second day of Tuska 2024 will get at least as exciting as the day before, we highly recommend you don’t sit out on the shows of Ankor, VOLA, Solence, St. Aurora, Make Them Suffer, I Am Your God, Bring Me The Horizon and The Abbey!
While it’s a given that as a metalfan you’ll want to catch shows of Dimmu Borgir and Kerry King today at the first day of Tuska, we think that there are a couple more bands that deserve some of your attention, or that we think will be even more epic to see live than you might suspect with editorial picks Lord of the Lost’s festival opening show, I Am The Night, Infected Rain, Krypta, Suburban Tribe, Assemble The Chariots, Zeal & Ardor and Pendulum!
