The Rasmus (Tavara-Asema, Tampere) – 12.09.2025

The Rasmus are by far the band I have listened to the longest, literally since I was a child, and yet I had never seen them live until now. So I was really excited to finally make it to one of their gigs. The majority of the audience were women around my age, so I’m gonna assume that many of them found The Rasmus when they released ‘In the Shadows‘ back in the early 2000s. Back then they were very internationally known and that still showed on the show at Tavara-Asema, as there were many flags from different countries scattered throughout the crowd.
The evening started off with Cvlt Ov The Svn which I unfortunately missed as it wasn’t very well advertised that there would be any support band.

The Rasmus themselves entered the stage right on time, at 21.00 with ‘Rest in Pieces‘ from their new album ‘Weirdo‘. The setlist in general was fantastic, with a very health mix between new material and the best-of-the-best of their older songs. The crowd obviously loved it and the atmosphere was amazing. There were some technical problems in the beginning, but they didn’t seem to be too much of a problem. What was a problem though, at least for me, were Lauri’s vocals. Hopefully that was just due to it being the start of the tour and him not yet fully being tuned in, but his voice was not great and left me kinda disappointed.
