A couple of friends of the site are bringing something quite new to Finland with Ankea Festival, to take place next summer in Tampere, giving a space for music that isn’t as much represented at festivals overall with a focus on alternative rock and progressive metal! Eye of Melian finished up their ‘Forest of Forgetting’ Tour at Tuulensuun Palatsi in Tampere on the 28th of March with a magical show.
Lord of the Lost, together with Ad Infinitum, came to Tampere’s Tavara-Asema in the beginning of last week as part of their “Tovr Noir” Europe tour. An Event by TuskaLive and Grey Beard.

Eye of Melian earned standing ovations from the crowd at their gig at Tuulensuu Palatsi in Tampere on the 28th of March, where they ended their first ever Finland tour with an emotional show.
Indica played a magical acoustic show at G Livelab in Tampere on the 19th of December where we could enjoy all of their biggest hits.
Battle Beast celebrated their biggest headline show to date with a big party of a show at Tampere’s Nokia Arena on November 21st. The fans were warmed up by support act Dynazty.
After already having seen Apulanta and Sinfonia Lahti together on their amazing gig last year it was great to see how they elevated this experience even further on their gig at the end of August in Tampere’s Ratina Stadium.
The Rock Orchestra came into town for a show at Tampere-Talo on the 7th of April, where they played some of the most famous Rock and Metal songs with a classical spin.
What happens when two of the most well known power metal bands of the country tour together as co-headliners? Sold out gigs like the one at Tavara-Asema in Tampere last Friday is what happens. Toto finished their ‘The Dogz Of Oz Tour’ with special guest Christopher Cross in front of 8500 fans at Tampere’s Nokia Arena in the beginning of March. Two hours full of rock classics.
Apocalyptica passed through Tampere on their “Plays Metallica vol. 2” tour on January 23rd, where they played in the big auditorium of Tampere-Talo. A perfectly produced evening full of energy and fun that we were able to see thanks to Ginger Vine Management & PR.
Raskasta Joulua played one of their acoustic sets in the sold out Kaleva Church in Tampere on Tuesday the 26th of November. The show turned out to provide a very different experience than their usual gigs. The atmosphere of this show was way more emotional and intimate than its heavier counterparts. What a great event by Master Events.
Apulanta joined forces with Lahtis Sinfonia Orchestra for a couple of unforgettable shows by Nelonen Media Live. We made it to the gig on Friday the 25th of October at Tampere’s Nokia arena, and we had such a good time that the 2,5 hours simply flew by!
