Stinky release 5th single and music video from their upcoming new album ‘Solace’

Hardcore, Hardcore Punk

As we head to the eventual and anticipated release date of the fourth album from France’s STINKY, the group reveals yet more content from the group’s new effort. “Solace” will be in stores Feb. 21st but you can now check out another track with today’s release of their “Mourning Flowers” single and its accompanying music video.

Heady refrains, sharp melodies, incisive breaks… after the dark and intense “Under Care” (featuring guest vocals from Comeback Kid singer Andrew Neufeld), French band STINKY are back with a new, brighter single. “Mourning Flowers” or when hold and dependence gives way to solace and reconstruction. With this fifth single from the forthcoming album, the band confirms a new, fully-assumed artistic direction.

“Solace” was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Fabien Guilloteau (Hacride, Klone, The Necromancers) and is available to preorder now on limited-edition colored vinyl (white & green marble / EU) or green splatter on clear (US), Digipak CD or digital https://lnk.to/stinky

“STINKY demonstrate their desire to explore new horizons, and promise a varied and ever more melodic album,” explains drummer Paul Saltet.

“Solace” comes 5 years since the band’s previous full-length, ‘Of Lost Things,’ was released, and while the group’s sound is intact several new members have joined the band leaving just the core of drummer Paul and vocalist Clair. The 3 new members — Max on bass and Enzo and Clément on guitars — remain true to the group’s original mission and sound while expanding the palette created. The group has been active playing shows all over France, including key festivals like Hellfest, Omega Sound Fest, Brut’fier, SidFest, WeMetal Fest, and Nantes Metal Fest, as well as getting over to the UK for Manchester Punk Festival.

Since their formation a decade ago, STINKY has played more than 350 concerts across 15 different countries in support of their first three albums, 2015’s ‘Against Wind and Tide,’ 2017’s ‘From Dead-End Street,’ and 2020’s ‘Of Lost Things.’ While the band’s name might seem curious to some, their music is a combustible mix of energy and aggression with enough melody to keep it catchy and infectious.
