Bury Tomorrow – Will You Haunt Me, With That Same Patience

Bury Tomorrow is a British metalcore band formed in 2006. Back in the day they were rookies in the pond that we call metalcore, and now they are one of the big names in the modern scene. And they will show you with their seventh album what they've built over the years.

Back in the day, when I first heard of these guys was with the song ‘Man On Fire’. That song goes back to 2014 from their third album ‘Runes’. I know I said that it was the little brother of the American metalcore legend As I Lay Dying. These guys have grown beyond that and are in my opinion much bigger now and have their own identity. They show it with their seventh album, ‘Will You Haunt Me, With That Same Patience.’ They open their album with ‘To Dream, To Forget’ that shows they are not slowing down, but it does have a mainstream touch with the clean voice in the chorus, which has always been their trademark. They continue their road to victory with the pumping ‘Villain Arc.’ Further in, we have ‘Wasteland’ that is filled with a wall of sound. The riffs coming at you like daggers. We have come to one off the more emotional songs on this album called ‘What If I Burn.’ A beautiful mixture between the clean vocals and the more growling voice. After that, it’s time to bring the energy back with ‘Forever The Night.’ ‘Waiting’ is touching the more brutal side of Bury Tomorrow, but with a strong teamwork with the clean vocals.

‘Silence isn’t helping us’ does what you expect from Bury Tomorrow. ‘Found No Throne’ is tender and sweet and touches you where it hurts. But after that, you’re ripped open with ‘Yokai’ that brings the speed and brutality back to remind you this is still a metal band. ‘Let Go’ is a typical Bury Tomorrow song like they have written so many, and then we have reached the end with ‘Paradox.’ A perfect ending for the former rookies of the metalcore.

They nailed it again with their seventh album ‘Will You Haunt Me, With That Same Patience.’ They have made better albums, but it’s strong enough to stay where they are, and that’s at the top.

REVIEW SCORE

Bury Tomorrow has released a solid seventh album that can connect with their other releases. On their way to the top? I think they’re already there.
