On October 15th 2025, Angus McSix, Orden Ogan and Wind Rose came together for one big party. And I didn’t want to miss it! Let’s check it out.

Angus McSix

I’ve wanted to see this band ever since the first album Angus McSix and the Sword of Power came out in 2023. Originally, the first show that my eyes would witness, would have been at Wacken Open Air that same year. But due to a storm we couldn’t attend the festival anymore. 2 years later, I’m finally getting another chance to see them. Be it with Adam Mcsix instead of Angus Mcsix, who is currently stuck in an iceberg in the story, but in real life he is taking some time off to be with his family. There is also a dwarf that got introduced: Jasmin Pabst. She fills in for Thalia Bellazecca on guitar. Jasmin got introduced in their song The Fire of Yore, which we got to hear as the second to last song of this setlist.
Their show was amazing, I had a blast. I got to do the dino dance during Lazer-Shooting Dinosaur. There was even a dino on stage. And with the crowd shouting ‘dino’ over and over again, the vibe was festive right from the start. Besides dino’s there were also goblins and orcs. One was even playing drums. Their sound could have been better though. I felt that was a bit off and could have been more clear. The show was over before I knew it. They played most songs from the first album of course, since only one is out. But a new one is coming in 2026, no exact date is given yet, and we also got to hear new songs 6666 and like I mentioned before; The Fire of Yore.

Setlist:

6666
Master of the Universe
Sixcalibur
Lazer-Shooting Dinosaur
The Fire of Yore
Ride to Hell

Orden Ogan

To summarize this show: beer beer and beer! It was so much fun, for me, this was the headliner of the night. They started off with one of my favorites: F.E.V.E.R.. Soon it became clear that their sound was much better than the previous band. I loved Come With Me to the Other Side. It started beautifully with the acoustic guitar and just Sebastian Levermann singing the chorus. Then the guitars, bass and drums came in and created this explosion of sound. This was just wonderful.
Just before the song Order of Fear started; lead singer Sebastian Levermann explained the band name: Orden Ogan would translate to Order of Fear. Which was followed by the song of the same name.
During the last song The Things We Believed In, the band asked us a couple of times to sing along, and we did but we had to try harder and harder. So instead of, singing and so we are cold dead and gone, which are the actual lyrics of the song, we had to sing and so we are BEER BEER AND BEER! That of course, was much louder. It’s even on one of their t shirts. Closing off with this song, this setlist was perfect.
After the show, some of the band members came out for photos and signing or just a quick chat as well. Thank you Orden Ogan!

Setlist:

F.E.V.E.R

Come With Me to The Other Side
Heart of the Android
The Order of Fear

Let the Fire Rain
The Things We Believe In

Wind Rose

While I expected Orden Ogan to be the headliner, Wind Rose was. No problem, they are great too, but sometimes the band feels like a meme to me. And I don’t know if I want to listen to one hour and a half of memes.
Wind Rose started off with Dance of the Axes a great song and it gets everybody straight into the mood for dwarf metal. The crowd got wilder and wilder, and Wind Rose was visibly enjoying it and encouraging us to go harder and faster. And so we did. There were moshpits throughout the whole set, crowd surfers and of course inflatable pick axes. Wind Rose also acknowledged them and I’m sure more and more will show up. I think those inflatable pick axes are a great way to support the band and show them from afar that we support them.
We got to hear all the classic songs like Mine Mine Mine!, Trollslayer, and To Erebor. They also played Shot in the Dark as a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne. There was a great vibe in the room. You could clearly notice that everybody had been waiting especially for Wind Rose to come up and the band felt that and they delivered. The sound was great, the crowd was moving and their self proclaimed Dwarf Metal was being played. Lead singer Francesco Cavalieri has a great voice and hits all the notes perfectly. It does still annoy me that the backing vocal is a track that’s being played, and that’s clearly noticeable when the band members who you hear, you don’t actually see them singing and they are all the way on the other side of the stage, not behind a microphone. I understand that you use some kind of backing track to make your sound better or greater, but don’t do it that noticeable.
Wind Rose also thought about the fact that a lot of people would have already seen them at festivals during the summer, so they put in some different songs. I was also surprised when they played Diggy Diggy Hole, not as their last song. I expected the dance version and everything. But no, there was one more song: Rock and Stone And they created a dance version of that one and closed the show with a banger. A new banger. It’s always nice when bands still play the songs we want, but also create some variation for people who have seen them often. Thank you Wind Rose! It was not one and a half hours of memes, although the other bands were more my cup of tea. But that’s just personal preference.

Setlist:

Dance of the Axes
The Great Feast Underground
Army of Stone
Mine Mine Mine!
Gates of Ekrund
To Be a Dwarf
Trollslayer
The Returning Race

All bands together lead to one amazing night! Check out the videos for yourself to relive a part of the night and rock out to great power metal bands.
