Gig Reports
This night at the DVG would be a night of cavernous, rotten old school death metal with US legends Funebrarum alongside Finnish filth mongers Morbific.
We caught the Avatar “In the Airwaves tour” at the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels with the support from Alien Weaponry and Witch Club Satan. Sometimes these shows are just a work of art, and a nice reminder that rock and metal shows are for everyone and every age.
At the end of last year, The Offspring was traveling through Europe with special guests Simple Plan on their “Supercharged Worldwide in ’25 tour” and one of our reporters was at the stop at the ING Arena in Brussels, Belgium and was blown away with yet another great show! If you somehow missed them in Belgium, or want to see them again, The Offspring will play at Graspop 2026! So you there!
The Belgian post-metal scene is thriving, and this night proved it. BRUIT≤ pulled the crowd into a dark, cinematic world, while Psychonaut returned home stronger than ever, commanding a sold-out venue with ease and emotion.
Electric Callboy keeps on growing and showed it off on the European leg of the “Tanzneid World Tour” with an epic show full of hits and special moments! And with the support of metalcore superstars Bury Tomorrow and alt-metal upstarts Wargasm, it was a great night showing the future of further popularizing heavy music!

Tonight the spice did flow at the Casino in Sint-Niklaas. Musical spice that is, as the homegrown dronesters of Pothamus and the Scottish space guild from DVNE took us on an intergalactic trip to the most supermassive of black holes. Ready for liftoff. Ignition, five, four , three , two , one…
Blood Incantation’s latest album ‘Absolute Elsewhere’ has been heralded by many as the greatest extreme metal record of 2024. And quite justly so. Therefore, one should not pass up the opportunity to witness their cosmic magic with your own eyes and ears. Unsurprisingly, the gig at the Trix has been sold out for months already. With other acts Black Curse, Concrete Winds and Minami Deutsch it was truly an amazing night!

We had a call with Ruben (guitars) and Frederik (bass) of the Belgian modern thrash band Primal Creation to talk about their latest single, the move of Frederik from roadie to active member of the band as the bassist and especially about playing at this year’s Alcatraz Festival opening La Morgue this Saturday!
