Sweatmaster unveils the title track from upcoming album ‘More!’

Garage Rock

The aristocrats of Finnish garage rock Sweatmaster offer another bite from their fifth album More! out in January 2026 via Svart Records. The album’s second single is out on digital platforms tomorrow, November 14th, but the video directed by Jan Trygg is already online now. Singer-bassist Sasu Mykkänen describes the new single as follows:

“The album’s title track describes the feeling of having travelled several kilometres in a snowstorm, with your destination still so far away that the snow seeping into your shoes has frozen your socks to your ankles. That’s when you need to manifest a rhythm that pushes you forward like a freight train with a few powerful words from Dio. You must stare at the dark sky so intently that you can already see the colours of the rainbow. And as your forehead freezes in the icy wind, your thoughts finally focus on the essentials: Don’t stop, look ahead, and think about how great the old Kiss riffs are.”

After the release of their 2010 album Dig Up the Knife, the band took break, which ended a few years ago with live performances both domestic and abroad. At the same time, new material began to emerge in the rehearsal room, and the band quickly found a common strategy for working on it.

“We were unanimous about the strengths of our band and decided to get to the heart of the matter. The main idea was to make straightforward songs carried by the vocals. The kind that would work well live with our aggressive playing style,” says the band’s drummer Matti Kallio.

“We wanted a raw and electric sound for the new album, built tightly around the three of us playing. The aim was to stick to Sweatmaster’s original energy and not spread ourselves too thin. However, despite our efforts, the intervening years brought some new tones with them,” guitarist Mikko Luukko explains the background of the new album.

More! is available for pre-order now at Svart’s webstore on Svart exclusive vinyl, limited coloured vinyl, classic black vinyl, and CD. Release date January 30th, 2026. Pre-order here.
