Portuguese post-hardcore firestarters Junkbreed drop new video for ‘Misantrophe’

Post-Hardcore

Portuguese post-hardcore firestarters JUNKBREED are back in full force with the release of a brand-new video for “Misantrophe,” a standout track taken from their second full-length album Sick Of The Scene, released on October 10, 2025 via Raging Planet.

Originally sparked during the 2020 lockdown by Miranda (Primal Attack), JUNKBREED began as a raw creative outlet before mutating into one of the most volatile and electrifying forces in the Portuguese heavy underground. With the addition of Pica on vocals and Karia on bass, followed by Antero (drums, Baleia Piloto) and Tiago (guitar, Primal Attack), the lineup locked into place and hit with full impact.

Following the sharp-edged debut Music For Cool Kids in 2021 and the boundary-pushing Cheap Composure EP in 2023, Sick Of The Scene kicks the doors wide open. The album refines JUNKBREED’s signature collision of punk urgency, post-hardcore abrasion, and raw rock energy, delivered with a heavier, more immediate punch.

Lyrically, Sick Of The Scene is self-aware, biting, and unapologetic. The band tear into themes of conformity, creative burnout, AI in art, and the hollow spectacle of modern music culture, all with a sneer and zero patience for complacency.

The album artwork, ironically generated with AI by Miranda perfectly mirrors this tension. Darkly humorous and deliberately provocative, it stands as a visual extension of the band’s ethos: question everything, stay loud, stay human.
