Industrial EDM project Swarm drops new single ‘Sing For Me’

Industrial EDM project SWARM returns with his second release on Out Of Line Music, “Sing For Me,” out now alongside a music video.

Composed, produced, mixed, and mastered entirely by Brandon Thomas Carroll, “Sing For Me” pushes further into the cinematic darkness that defined SWARM‘s Out Of Line debut “Who Will Save You Now”. The track builds from cold, dissonant tension into something heavier and more consuming, interlaced with fast, intense D&B-like electronics – equal party aggressive, vulnerable and maniacal.

“Sing For Me was inspired by my personal struggles with perfectionism and imposter syndrome. I am my own worst critic – always pushing myself to create better and better things without ever being quite satisfied. Lyrically, the song is an imaginary conversation between my creative brain and my critical brain. I imagined them as separate people: one desperate for inspiration, the other malevolent and abusive. It was a very cathartic way to approach the writing.” – Brandon

The release follows his recent collaboration with SKYND on their joint single “Jimmy Savile,” including a role in the accompanying music video. SWARM is also confirmed for the Out Of Line Weekender in Berlin in May 2027, with further live dates in preparation.

SWARM is the project of Brandon Thomas Carroll, who began building his brand of hyper-aggressive dark electronic music in 2018 following nearly a decade of recovery from an eating disorder, an experience he has spoken about openly, including in a 2023 Forbes interview, and which shapes the mental health-focused dimension of his work. His sound operates at the intersection of industrial EDM, metal, and apocalyptic filmscore, and has led to collaborations with Bad Omens, Till Lindemann, HEALTH, Aesthetic Perfection, Celldweller, The Browning, and Apashe, among others. 

“Sing For Me” is his second release on Out Of Line Music, and the second step towards his new full-length.
