Black Stone Cherry announces their new EP ‘Celebrate’ and share new single ‘Neon Eyes’

Hard Rock

Kentucky’s pride, Black Stone Cherry, will release their new EP Celebrate on March 6, 2026 via Mascot Records. The band kicks off with the video of their new single Neon Eyes, which you can watch HERE.

Black Stone Cherry is a band in the purest sense of the word. Hard rockers with a big heart. Four seasoned songwriters who have rock, metal, roots, blues, soul and hip-hop in their blood. Old friends who flawlessly sense what the other means.

On Celebrate – produced by the band itself and recorded at High Street Studios in Bowling Green, Kentucky – they show all that at the height of their powers. It’s a mix of joy and pain, brutal hooks and raw soul. The lives of four men approaching forty (two of whom are fathers), captured in one emotional, unpolished diamond from a plate. Six original tracks that are ready for the stage, plus a surprising cover of Simple Minds‘ Don’t You (Forget About Me) with guest vocalist Tyler Connolly (Theory Of A Deadman).

The new single Neon Eyes started as a soundcheck riff and exploded into a hard-hitting rock banger. The video follows the band on a typical day on the road, and ends with their dazzling headline show at the Maid of Stone Festival 2025 in the UK.You get a look behind the scenes: how the band gets ready for a performance, how they hang out among the audience, fans who sympathize all day long – and ultimately a show full of energy that proves what an unstoppable force they are. And there are magical moments that you don’t want to miss… So watch to the end.

About the track, the band says:

“For Neon Eyes , we recorded the riff on an iPhone. As soon as we started working on this EP, we immediately built a song around it. We knew that the riff had to be the chorus as well. Once the title was in place, everything fell into place. A real BSC banger.”

Black Stone Cherry have the gift of turning heavy subjects into a powerful, hopeful rock song. “Each piece of art is a snapshot of the artist’s life,” explains singer/guitarist Chris Robertson. “So these songs are actually the sum of everything we’ve been through since Screamin’ At The Sky.”

“None of us are too proud to take someone else’s ideas, because we all play on the same team,” Ben adds. “John Fred can come up with a guitar riff, or Chris or I can come up with a drum beat. Steve is our bass player, but played slide on the previous record and even guitar on the new material. It’s great to start a day without a song, and five hours later to walk away with a complete demo.”

Celebrate is an EP full of contrasts. I’m Fine is a dreamy, Nirvana-like grunge singalong. But especially the heartbreaking, mid-tempo track Deep struck a chord – especially with Ben, who went through a difficult period with his wife during the writing process. Two days after a tragic miscarriage, he poured those emotions into this song.

As icing on the cake, Celebrate closes with a fiery, but also sultry cover of Simple Minds‘ classic Don’t You (Forget About Me), with vocals by old friend Tyler Connolly. World famous for John Hughes‘ iconic coming-of-age film The Breakfast Club from 1985, but surprisingly fitting for Black Stone Cherry. Especially with the experienced voice of Chris Robertson. “I love that song!” he laughs.

What you mainly hear on Celebrate: Black Stone Cherry takes nothing for granted. Certainly not their fans. Whether they play for thousands at a festival or in a pub for a hundred people, they always give the same show. You feel that their heart is in it, that they know exactly what is important: time with loved ones, supporting each other, making contact with the audience and making music that really stirs something up. No frills – just moments that really matter.
