Cyan Kicks officially joined Eurovision 2024 race again with new single ‘Dancing With Demons’

Alternative Rock

Officially announcing the dynamic foursome’s UMK participation, fresh off their debut sold out UK tour w/Smash Into Pieces, CYAN KICKS have unleashed their inner demons with their new single ‘Dancing With Demons‘ (co-written and produced by none other than current Muse touring member Dan Lancaster, known for his work with Bring Me The Horizon, Enter Shikari, Blink 182 and the list goes on).

With word spreading quickly of the young quartet’s powerful yet emotional live shows and feverishly dedicated fanbase, it comes as no surprise today that the announcement has already been met with huge fanfare online and they are the current favourite to win the selection process and represent Finland at this year’s contest – last year’s Eurovision public winner turned global superstar Käärijä has already given the band his backing.

Susanna Alexandra (vocals) comments:

“Everyone has their own weaknesses and shadows that we are ashamed of and don’t want others to see. But what if we were able to turn our inner demons onto our side, what would happen?“

Fresh off a headline European tour, a string of festival headline shows and sold out debut UK tour w/Smash Into Pieces in support of their new album ‘I NEVER SAID 4EVER‘, the band will be bringing their electric live performances to the UMK arena stage one more time on Feb 10th in Nokia Arena, Tampere which is already SOLD OUT.

When discussing returning to the race for a second time, the band comments:

“We’re no longer afraid and all stage anxiety is gone. Working with this team again feels like seeing family, it’s like coming home.“

The powerful group are best known for making unconventional, alluring modern pop-rock hits which are etherial, introspective and forward-thinking – pulling influence from the likes of Brits CHVRCHES, Architects and US based PVRIS. Kicking 2022 off with bombastic empowerment anthem ‘Hurricane‘ – an official entrant for Finland’s 2022 ESC, co-written with Amaranthe‘s Elize Ryd – is the perfect case in point. Death Cab for Cutie‘s Chris Walla was at the controls, and the mix overseen by Zakk Cervini (Bring Me The Horizon, Poppy, Architects, Beartooth).

Gatecrashing their way straight into the hearts of many with follow-up singles ‘See The Light‘, the poignant ‘Someone Like You‘ which earned a shadow-ban online due to it’s controversial and groundbreaking music video, anti-Valentines Day self-empowerment anthem ‘Into You‘ and booming earworm ‘ADDICTED‘ and a slew of sold out shows, it’s been a monumental 2023 for the young stars and 2024 will be no different.
