Empires in Orbit releases new single and music video ‘Cat Eyes’
Industrial rock duo Empires in Orbit – the brain child of multi-instrumentalist Gary Mann and vocalist Fe Malefiz – has shared “Cat Eyes”, the latest single from their forthcoming album Audiodrome. The song follows recent track “Mother!”, which offered a dark and emotional glimpse at an overwhelming world. “Cat Eyes” is a bilingual German-English track blending rap and pop. “I almost scrapped this song before giving it to Miriam to write vocals to,” recalls Mann. “I wanted to challenge myself to writing a horror trap song and thought I did an ok job but it was so simple I didn’t think it would work. Miri said send it anyway and we’ll see what happens. Turns out, it’s our banger. Funny how that works.”
Fe Malefiz adds: “I wanted a song with a comic energy and had the character of Harley Quinn in mind. Psycho, mental ill but super sexy and cute – Maybe it’s more about myself than I should admit haha 🙂”
Audiodrome is set to be released on August 14 and is available for pre-save now here. Stay tuned for more coming soon from Empires In Orbit at https://empiresinorbit.bandcamp.com/.

Empires in Orbit launched in 2015 by multi-instrumentalist Gary Mann. 6 albums and over 3,000,000 plays later, Empires has made their mark on electronic music. Genre defying records, dozens of collaborations, placements in film and soundtracks for ballets are the tip of the synth iceberg for a group set on shattering expectations.
2026 ushers in a new era for the band, as they added vocalist Fe Malefiz as a permanent resident. This German powerhouse has been in the industry over 15 years and her voice has been heard on countless collaborations and voice-over work. Seemingly impossible range and ready to take her rightful place on the gothic electronic throne, Fe Malefiz enchants your ears into submission.
Enter Audiodrome. The duo’s first dark offering will challenge everything you know about genre bending. One album containing indie pop, black metal, hip hop, ambient and industrial music shouldn’t work but sonic lightning struck and magic ensued.
Epic cinematic videos for “Mother!” and “Cat Eyes” set the tone for the most unique record of 2026. Audiodrome shows you what music without rules sounds like.
