Gladenfold release new single ‘Wardens of Time’
Gladenfold present “Wardens of Time”, a new single taken from their upcoming album Soulbound. The track highlights a more melodic and melancholic side of the band’s sound, offering a refined mid-tempo power metal approach. Characterized by distinctive vocal lines and a strong, memorable chorus, the song balances uplifting moments with darker, more introspective passages.
Bassist Ville Vesa comments on the songwriting and recording process:
“Sometimes songs arrive and almost write themselves – I can’t really say that about this one. We knew early on that we had a strong song, but it took several iterations to make the arrangement work. The ingredients are fairly simple, and we had to learn a few new tricks to make the most of them. I’m very happy with how the song turned out and look forward to playing it live.”
Guitarist Matias Knuuttila elaborates on the lyrical concept:
“The song introduces the previously lost connection between the album’s main characters, a relationship that forms the central thread of this concept album. It sheds light on their shared past and the role fate played in driving them apart, leaving them caught in an endless cycle of rebirth.”
Soulbound will be released on February 27, 2026, via Reaper Entertainment. In support of the album, Gladenfold will tour Finland in Spring 2026, followed by their first live appearances in Japan in May.
