/ 0 Comments/ By :

American rock musician Emily Wolfe has some very exciting things coming up, including touring with YUNGBLUD in the US territories! So I sent over some rapid fire questions to her before she heads out on tour to get to know her a bit and introduce her to you in case you hadn’t heard of her yet! Make sure you keep an eye on her socials to follow her journey!

1. How did you get started in music?

I’ve played guitar since I was 5, and played in my room as a kid constantly. I would come home from school and that’s all I would want to do. So I started music kind of alone in a silo. In college I finally found some people who were as into music and starting a band as I was, so we started playing shows, open mics mostly. Then I started going off on my own, writing my own songs and singing as a solo artist. I got an opening slot at The Mohawk in Austin, which was my first big show. From then I just never stopped. I built my career in Austin, then began to tour with other bands like Black Pistol Fire. They took me on my first tour up the east coast. I’ve been touring ever since.

2. Who are some musicians or artists that influenced you?

Queens of the Stone Age, Joan Jett, Heart, Concrete Blonde, Pat Benatar, Eagles of Death Metal

3. What is your favorite song or project you’ve worked on, and why?

Lips, the new single ft. Eagles of Death Metal. It was a blast to write and I got to work with one of my heroes, Jesse Hughes.

4. Who has been your favorite musician to work with or tour with so far?

Brian Fallon from the Gaslight Anthem. He’s become one of my best friends after he asked me to come on tour with him a few years ago. Then he took me on a European tour supporting Gaslight Anthem. That was a blast. He’s been a huge mentor and friend.

5. Do you have a favorite city or venue to perform in?

Baltimore, handsdown. I’ve never seen rowdier crowds in my life. They love rock there.

6. What’s something fans would be surprised to learn about you offstage?

I love charcoal drawing.

7. If you could perform anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Definitely Glastonbury music festival. That’s a big bucket list item for me.

8. What is your most memorable moment during a performance?

When I got to play with TOOL on stage in 2024 in my hometown of Austin. I saw a billboard while I was driving and decided to text Adam Jones to see if he would want to meet for coffee to catch up. He said no and that I should play a song with them instead. So, I had 1 night to learn how to play The Grudge. The next night, I got to play that with them. I’ll never forget it.

9. What are your favorite things to do that are not music related?

Bird watching, being with my dogs and wife, charcoal drawing, car detailing, yard work. I love to mow the grass.

10. What projects, tours or events do you have coming up?

I’m continuing to work on new music with Gavin Brown and I’m sure we’ll release a couple more songs in the near future. I’m touring with Yungblud at the end of May, and supporting the Toadies this October on their tour.
