A full night of Australian metalcore was hosted in Stuttgart’s Schleyerhalle when PARKWAY DRIVE had one of their stops of the ’20 Years Anniversary Tour Europe’.
They brought friends, in the form of two fellow bands, along from Down Under: THE AMITY AFFLICTION and THY ART IS MURDER. This explosive package promised the real deal for any die-hard metalcore fan. And nobody would be disappointed at the end of the night. THE AMITY AFFLICTION had the honours of opening up the night and were followed by THY ART IS MURDER. Both delivering a strong stage performance and heating up the audience very well.
Finally everybody got the real deal with PARKWAY DRIVE. The band and dancers entered the venue gladiator style with waved flags, breaking their way through the crowd to the stage from the back of the hall. The first two songs were performed on a small stage in front of the main stage and finally the enormous main stage was revealed with a bang after the runway came down from the ceiling.
PARKWAY DRIVE delivered without doubt. Flames and pyros, awesome lights and sound, a choreographed show with dancers, three ladies with string instruments and the flame lit floating gangway. It was a spectacular show that will be pretty hard to beat.
