Royal Sorrow release a video for their song ‘Samsara’

Progressive Metal, Progressive Rock

Royal Sorrow will tour Europe with Leprous in the autumn and before that have a spot at Euroblast, among other places, and released their fourth single ‘Samsara‘, a cinematic song reflecting on the big questions of life, death and existence. The beautiful melodies and sturdy riffs with interesting arrangements showcase the characteristics of Royal Sorrow and now comes with a captivating video directed by the band’s trusted man Jaro Koho.

“The song draws its inspiration from the concept of samsara and serves as a meditation on accepting that everything is ephemeral and nothing lasts forever. The song combines uplifting choruses, contemplative verses and a burning guitar solo – this is an emotional journey from start to finish.”

This video is also guitarist Juha Rapanen‘s last performance in the band, as he is leaving the band to focus on his family.

“After more than ten years of playing together, Royal Sorrow and our long-time guitarist and brother Juha Rapanen are parting ways in a good spirit. There is no drama or arguments behind the decision, and we remain friends. Juha now has important father responsibilities that require his time and attention. We want to thank Juha for all the years and for always giving his all to our band. The very talented Tony Olsén will join our line-up as a live guitarist for all future gigs, starting with the Tuska festival this weekend.”

Juha adds:

“My life situation no longer matched the tour calendar ahead. I want to thank the guys for a great journey and wish them all the best for the future!”

Royal Sorrow played their first gig at Tuska a bit over a week ago and will go on a European tour in the autumn with Leprous and Gåte on the Melodies of Atonement tour.
