Album Reviews

‘Theion’ brings the pure aggression of the second wave of black metal. This is by far the best offering to date from these Swedish warmongers.

The word I find myself using a lot here is power. King Creature is at its best when they go all out and produce nice hardrock with balls.

‘Totschläger (A Saint Slayer’s Songbook)’ is a testimony to the band’s craftsmanship and skills, proving again that Abigor’s music has always been about originality and innovation.

‘Death’s Wings Widespread’ is Grafvitnir’s latest somber output. Swedish black metal to be remembered.

‘Nucleus’ is densely packed with a stratum of complex riffs and deep guttural growls. Within its time length of forty-one minutes the band swagger in applying overwhelming brutality.

Another Lovecraftian black metal release to be added to our long collection! Check out Prometheus’ ‘Resonant Echoes from Cosmos of Old’.

“The Suns of Perdition – Chapter II: Render unto Eden” is the newest epic brought by Canadian black metal masters Panzerfaust?

Nas Alcameth has conveyed a sublime symphony of nightmare. ‘Melinö’ is beautifully crafted by the multilayered instruments. This is highly recommended for fans of Limbonic Art, Nightbringer, and Aoratos.

Finnish melodeath outfit myGRAIN comes back with a renewed and rejuvenated sound and energy on their new release ‘V’!
