Album Reviews

Ceremonial Castings eleventh album “Our Journey Through Forever” is an introspective record that highlight’s the band’s past works.

“Tales of Othertime” brings the dark and medieval fusion of melodic/dungeon in a style of their own.

‘Primordial Arcana’ sprawls with epic majesty and raw black metal that is beautifully woven with synth passages, soothing rhythm and arcane mystical poetry that grabs back to their roots.

‘Thrall of Winter’s Majesty’ is uniquely composed with the nostalgic and dreamlike melodies of the past.

Nas Alcameth has conveyed a sublime symphony of nightmare. ‘Melinö’ is beautifully crafted by the multilayered instruments. This is highly recommended for fans of Limbonic Art, Nightbringer, and Aoratos.

The sophomore conveys various versions of black metal that extend from Scandinavia to the Italian methods of black metal.

‘Snare of All Salvation’ is full of mesmerizing moments of ghastly screeches and fast tempos.

‘The Palms of Sorrowed Kings’ is the 3rd output by the trio who found their niche of combining folk music and medieval black metal.

“The Burning Dawn” is a great follow up to Cloak’s debut album, and the blackened occultists present a sheer aggression and diversity within the new tracks.

Vimur’s sophomore album possesses the quality of raw black metal, this is a very good album from the U.S. quartet.
