GRIMM wishes you an uplifting new year!

Metal, Rock

Last New Year’s Day, we were wishing you a bright year filled with love, family and great music, and we definitely felt the love throughout the year. Our activities, both in real life and online have brought more people into our family and saying that 2024 was a year of great music again, is almost an understatement. We can only hope to continue that trend, as life clearly isn’t getting easier for a lot of us in many aspects. The support we give and the support we get from all of you will be as important as ever for a healthy (heavy) music and live event scene! Let’s make it our mission to lift our community and music scene to even bigger heights in 2025!

We are again already looking forward to some epic shit looking at the new releases we can expect this year, a massive slab of really great events from our partners and of course the crazy events we’re cooking up (or that are already confirmed) at our Asgaard venue and beyond! Keep an eye on our Facebook page for those confirmed events and what is coming still!

Talking about Asgaard: what a bombshell of a year did we have there! 83 concert nights, 44 workshops/themed activities, 35+ coaching events and more than 160 days open where our volunteers were all too happy to serve those thirsty for good music, drinks and a solid community. On the Asgaard stage we’ve had the honor to welcome 223 bands from all over the world: France (15), USA (15), UK (14), Germany (10), Netherlands (6), Canada (4), Sweden (3), Italy (3), Finland (3), India (2), Mexico (2), Austria, Spain, Romania, Belarus, Andorra, Greece, Brazil, Switzerland, Australia, Poland, Denmark, Czech Republic, Chili, Ukraine, Japan, Russia and Lithuania. But of course with the majority still coming from the Belgian scene that is getting stronger and stronger, with 129 bands dropping by to show us what they got! We even managed to set up the amazing folk festival that was Litha Fest!

And now that our club has such a solid turnover, we’ll be looking to new challenges and avenues to bring even bigger and better events to all of you! We already announced to be working with one of our partners (VZW KULTS) to bring Aborted with an amazing line-up to Gent in 2025, and our summer metal holiday trip to Tolmin is back as we’re partnering up with Tolminator and Holiways to embark on another edition of our legendary “Belgian Invasions”! And you can expect more to be announced in the nearby future!

Tolminator: Belgian Invasion 2025

Also online we’ve had a great year yet again, reviewing some of the best music around, keeping you up to date on the latest news, bringing you a taste of the experiences we’ve had at the many amazing shows our photographers and reporters went to, captivating interviews and so much more. Of course, we’re already getting ready to move into an even higher gear to bring you more and more content all the time, and support as many of the great bands this world has to offer! Be sure to stick around and not miss anything, we and the bands we cover will sure appreciate the support!

That brings us to the same end of this writing as every year… to accomplish all our dreams and goals in everything we do with GRIMM, we need you! Yes… you! Do you want to help in volunteering for our events and other activities? Or do you want to contribute to our website? You’re passionate for alternative music? Do you want to learn certain skills? Accomplish certain goals? Be part of an awesome community? Don’t be afraid to contact us to see where you could help out, no matter where you’re from! You will meet awesome people (including bands), get to know really good music and have loads of fun along the way. Hope to see you soon!

Thanks again for any support you may already have given, and let’s kick some serious ass in 2025!

Cheers!
The GRIMM team
