Torchia shares new music video ‘Hellmouth’

Extreme metal, Melodic Death Metal

Following the ominous tension of their single “Nekromanteion”, Finnish extreme metal force Torchia unveiled the official music video for their next single, “Hellmouth,” from their forthcoming album “They Are Born Under Rules of the Darkness,” due out on May 8th, 2026, from Rockshots Records.

Produced by Janne Saksa and mastered by Dan Swanö, the track strikes with surgical precision and unrelenting force, driving Torchia’s sound into even darker, more extreme territory without sacrificing its unmistakable melodic core. “Hellmouth” signals a pivotal turn in the album’s narrative and sonic arc, throwing open the gates to its infernal center with a sharper, more immediate, and hard‑hitting assault.

Musically, “Hellmouth” captures the band at their most dynamic. The verses lean into tight, groove-driven riffing with a raw, almost physical immediacy. At the same time, the chorus expands into a triumphant melodic surge, revealing a strong connection to classic heavy and power metal traditions. For the first time, Villemorte introduces a clean vocal hook, adding a new dimension to Torchia’s sonic identity while retaining its full force.

Lyrically, the track initiates a three-part descent into Hell. A fallen angel renounces its divine nature, tearing away its wings to step beyond the threshold of damnation. The Hellmouth stands as both a passage and a point of no return, setting the tone for the album’s unfolding journey through the underworld.

Positioned as the second track, “Hellmouth” stands as a defining moment within the record, bridging atmosphere and impact while reinforcing the band’s ability to merge memorable songwriting with controlled aggression and darker textures.

Hailing from Tampere, Finland, Torchia has carved a distinctive identity rooted in thrash-infused melodic death metal, progressively enriched with darker tonal layers, orchestral arrangements, and a strong narrative backbone. Across their work, the band has shaped a cursed fictional realm inhabited by old gods, forbidden rituals, and supernatural forces, now fully realized within the gothic horror framework of “They Are Born Under Rules of the Darkness”.

With “They Are Born Under Rules of the Darkness”, Torchia consolidate their artistic direction, expanding their sound toward a more shadowed and blackened dimension while preserving the melodic and guitar-driven foundations that define their identity.

Recommended for fans of Behemoth, Cradle of Filth, and Children of Bodom, Torchia’s new album “They Are Born Under Rules of the Darkness” will be available on May 8th, 2026, from Rockshots Records.

Formed in Tampere, Finland, Torchia has steadily carved out a distinctive identity within the extreme metal scene by blending thrash-infused melodic death metal with dark fantasy, gothic horror, and cinematic atmospheres. Since their early years, the band has continuously evolved both musically and conceptually, expanding a cursed narrative universe populated by ancient gods, occult practices, and grim mythological visions.

With each release, Torchia has pushed further into darker and more theatrical territory. While their core remains firmly rooted in guitar-driven extreme metal, their sound has grown increasingly cinematic and blackened, incorporating dramatic arrangements and a heightened sense of atmosphere without sacrificing aggression or immediacy. Elements of classic heavy and power metal melody remain a key influence shaping their songwriting approach and reinforcing their dynamic, memorable structures.

Renowned for their intense and visceral live performances, Torchia have built a strong reputation as a formidable stage act. At the center of the spectacle stands masked frontman Nox, a commanding and symbolic figure who embodies the dark curse at the heart of the band’s identity, guiding audiences deep into Torchia’s shadowed world.

Torchia Line-Up:
Nox: Vocals
Villemorte: Lead guitar, Vocals
Henri von Hardy: Guitar
Vulkan: Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals
Vincent Oscar Mill: Drums
