Windwaker partner with RinRin for new track ‘click.’

Alternative Metal, Nu Metal

Australia’s genre-bending WINDWAKER — vocalist Liam Guinane, guitarist Justin Keurntjes, bassist Indey Salvestro, drummer Chris Lalic, and synths/samples specialist Connor Robins — are thrilled to release their first new music of 2026 in the form of “click.,” with RinRin.

It’s fitting that “click.” lyrically tackles the exchange of privacy for notoriety (and surveillance) in the digital age and tackles the issue of being terminally online. The song sounds like a hard drive come to life — with blips, beeps, and industrially-inspired samples living among chaotic riffs and addictively catchy vocal melodies. The guest vocal from Aussie-based, Filipino alt pop sensation RinRin not only drives the point home but adds some additional energy.

“It’s about the digital world we’re living in, where the lowest moments for individuals and our society are uploaded and televised for profit and entertainment at the cost of our own security,” the band explains. “People have willingly given up their privacy for fame. It’s become normalized and we’ve become so desensitized by it that you question the world around us and whether anyone is real anymore or if they’ve got a mask on.”

On partnering with RinRin, the band offers,

“When we finished the last record, we were really excited about the idea of collaborating with other artists on our new music since we’d never done that before. RinRin made the most sense to us as someone who has worked with Chris [Lalic] for years. We took a couple days in the studio with her as an experiment to see what could come out of it and once the concept and the chorus had formed, the rest came together effortlessly. It felt like a pure collaborative moment with both the band and Rin equally creating our parts together in real time.”

RinRin weighs in, saying,

“‘click.’ feels relevant. Everyone’s a walking camera with their tech now and it’s, like, crazy how much it’s becoming our new norm. Definitely one of the coolest collabs I’ve ever done.”

Windwaker released HYPERVIOLENCE in July 2024 via Fearless Records. The band also crashed domestic shores for its first-ever U.S. tour, supporting Northlane. The band followed the album with HYPERVIOLENCE EXPANSION PACK deluxe record in 2025, which included three new tracks, plus other surprises. Get it here. Now, they’re headlining the States for the first time, in a testament to the band’s phenomenal growth.

And to think — they’re only just getting started.
