Dreadnought release new single ‘Color of our Broken Hearts’

Colorado’s Dreadnought have announced the pre-order for their forthcoming album Wars of Spirit // Wards of Light, due September 11, 2026 via Vesperian. To mark the occasion, the band have shared a second single, “Color of our Broken Hearts”.

Where previous records unfolded across vast, demanding terrain, Wars of Spirit // Wards of Light finds Dreadnought at their most focused — sharper, more immediate, yet no less singular. The band’s genre-defying fusion of progressive metal, folk, and atmospheric exploration arrives with a new directness, without surrendering any of their characteristic unpredictability. Cover art by Eisner Award-winning artist Christian Ward, whose psychedelic, neon-charged visual language feels like the only adequate counterpart to the music. Mixed by Julius Mauranen (Oranssi Pazuzu) and mastered by Jaakko Viitalähde (Oranssi Pazuzu, Havukruunu, Polymoon).
