HVNK PNKRCK 4.0 announced its full line-up!

We’ve got to enjoy the underground punk and hardcore festival HVNK PNKRCK a couple of times now and they always manage to bring top notch bands. Mostly Finnish artists, both up-and-comers and legends, they’ve been adding a couple of foreign bands as well every edition. Focusing on DIY, underground stuff and supporting your locals, clearly paid off. Because they’ve been selling out with ease and last year’s edition was probably the busiest one they’ve had to this point (for our report of HVNK PNKRCK 3.0 go here). So it’s always looking forward to when they start releasing bands to see what kind of cool and interesting bands they got their paws on this time. And today they did not disappoint!

Go big or go home, they must have thought. Because HVNK PNKRCK 4.0 has thrown their complete line-up online for everyone to get excited on…

We immediately noticed that this year they’ve raised the amount of foreign bands by 1 compared to last year and those are the ones that grabbed our attention from the start. Headliner of the Saturday is the USA band Authority Zero, the first ever arrival of the band on Finnish shores and these guys made it happen! The band is going to release their new album next week (on December 7th) and will celebrate their 25th birthday next year. It will be quite a riot to see these experienced and well-traveled guys rip it up at HVNK PNKRCK! Or what about Spit? A hardcore punk band from the pits of Tel- Aviv… yes, your read it right! They booked a band all the way from Israel! And lastly, after the great succes of last year’s visit by the Swedes of Satan Takes A Holiday, they turned towards their neighbours again to pick up the high action punkers of Scumbag Millionaire to turn up the rock ‘n’ roll heat!

Next to all of that fun, they of course have a nice selection of Finnish punk bands where we recognize the city locals The B and The Band and The Scum Orchestra. Most of the other names are still quite unknown to us at this point, but rest assured that they’ll be worth your time to check them out. We know we will!

The event will take place again at the trusted MDNGT Club in Hyvinkää, Finland.
