Exclusive streaming of Pikes Edge’s new album!

News

German metal band Pikes Edge will release their upcoming album “All Of Our Beauty” this friday, November 25th 2016.
GRIMM has gotten the exclusive privilege (for Belgium) to share the album stream before the official release!

The first song on the album “Denial of Service” already makes it very clear what we can expect from this album: fast, hard and yet melodic sounds.
It’s also the first single of the album, with a matching videoclip that already came out last month:

This song has gotten us interested to hear more of this album…and after hearing the full album, we aren’t disappointed at all!

Tracklist:

1. Denial Of Service

2. Blind Side Of You

3. Save Me

4. Faded Shadow

5. Tides Of Time

6. Just Go To Hell

7. Hypocrite

8. House Of Bones

9. Oldboy

Listen to the full album, right here at GRIMM Gent!

Not convinced after going through the album once? Then we strongly advise you to give it another go, as the album grows on you the more you listen to it.

Official statement:

What’s left from the former beauty when our society, our values and everything us humans have achieved is degenerated beyond recognition? With “All Of Our Beauty”, Pikes Edge visualize this scenario, plow through the discrepancy of the human ego and conceptualize these monstrous excesses into nine bloodcurdling and eschaton-like heavy metal wrecking balls.

On their second output, to be unleashed on November 25, the Munich soon-to-be quintet lead by mastermind Pike presents itself dark, puristic and uncompromising. Their way there was by no means simple: After an extensive European tour with no less than U.D.O., Pike felt the urge to lead the band to a different musical direction and to give it a complete makeover. The taken path did not allow a look back as the decision to reform turned out to be spot-on: With new member, lead guitarist and songwriter Lukas leading the way, Pike was finally able to revive his unbridled ambition. Things started to heat up between the two until U.D.O. bassist Fitty Wienhold, producer of the album, managed to channel the creative flow of the newly congregated nerds and put it on the right track.

The outcome of this trinity and a self-imposed ten-day incommunicado detention in a Munich recording studio goes by the name of “All Of Our Beauty” – a martial seeming beast whose cynical view on the society was translated to pure musical aggressiveness. The finishing touch came from Swedish Bohus Sound Studios, where the sound of In Flames, At The Gates or Deathstars was already shaped, and where the claws and barbs of every single song were sharpened in terms of mixing and mastering.

The quartet was completed by the rhythm foundation consisting of drum monster Rossi as well as Pike’s longtime friend and bass specialist Michael. With new guitarist Marin, the band currently thrives to become a quintet within the coming weeks – not just for the upcoming live activities. Together, they will soon unleash the essence of “All Of Our Beauty” on stage.

Time to bare your teeth again!
