Rise Of The Northstar is back with a new album, “Showdown,” out on April 7 and a new eponymous third single taken from the forthcoming album! “Showdown” is mixed by Johann Meyer (Gojira) and mastered by Ted Jensen (Sterling Sound Studio).

Using Molière’s language Rise Of The Northstar sets their own mark. The band’s new monster carries the flag for all fans of heavy music straight in the vein of their previous hit, “Here Comes The Boom” (The Legacy of Shi, 2018), bringing heaviness to a whole new level. ROTN brings in their ancestral Yokai persona and a “Korn-ish” sound, perfectly endorsing their taste for 90s Nu Metal while preserving their DNA.

“This song kickstarted the writing process of the new record. Eva-B’s devastating riffs have always appealed to me, so my pen just went along as if it was bewitched by the spirit of Shi. It’s one of the strongest tracks off the record and the reason why it carries the name of the album.” – Vithia

“Showdown” is released through Atomic Fire as a limited Jewelcase CD in O-Card with a 24 pages booklet, a collector’s art flyer, and a ltd. Prism Northcard (Collectors Japanese Carddass), as exclusive limited vinyl editions 1LP in gatefold, with printed inner sleeves, including a giant poster, pressed to 180g clear vinyl for the “GHOST Edition” and to 180g white/red opaque marbled into the “SAKURA Edition”. Expect insane grooves mixed with powerful riffs dressed by the now well-known flow of Vithia and sublimated by Eva-B‘s epic solos. You will want to jump to the groove, headbang to the heaviness, mosh to the hardcore breakdowns, break your neck to the thrash riffing, sing along to the choruses, and feel goosebumps to the beautifully written solos. All wrapped up in their unique Japanese shonen manga universe.
