Face Yourself tear into beauty standards with vicious single ‘Fractures’

Deathcore

Transcontinental deathcore force Face Yourself have unleashed their most unforgiving single yet with “Fractures,” out now via Sumerian Records. The track arrives as the lead single from their upcoming EP “Fury”, set for release September 26th with pre-orders available now HERE, and showcases the band’s evolution into darker, more psychologically brutal territory. Watch the official music video for “Fractures” HERE and stream the track HERE.

Built on Joey Sturgis‘ crushing production, “Fractures” weaponizes Face Yourself‘s signature deathcore assault to dissect the violence of beauty standards and self-hatred. The track represents their most emotionally raw work to date, following the success of their Martyr EP, which has garnered over 1.5 million streams since its April release.

Speaking on the new single and upcoming EP, vocalist Yasmine Liverneaux shares:

“We are excited to release our new single “Fractures” produced by Joey Sturgis. The lyrics explore a darker theme, as it speaks a lot about self hatred, exploring the pressure of beauty standards and the “mutilations” those pressures can lead someone to. It’s like changing your appearance so much to fit a mold to the point that you don’t even recognize yourself which can be very violent.

“Alongside this new single, we’re happy to announce the future release of our new record “Fury”. After 2 years of being a band, we have reached a sound that we think looks like us, this is our best work yet and we are happy to be working once again with Joey Sturgis. He became such a great element to our team, and is always pushing us to improve ourselves.”

Fury marks Face Yourself‘s second EP with Sumerian Records and their continued collaboration with producer Joey Sturgis (Asking Alexandria, The Devil Wears Prada). The five-track collection builds on the foundation established with Martyr, pushing their sound into more uncompromising territory while maintaining the emotional depth that has
connected with fans worldwide.

A transcontinental deathcore phenomenon, Face Yourself has redefined what it means to blend modern heaviness with old- school roots. Featuring members from New York, New Jersey, Colorado, and France, their unique sound is as diverse as their origins. Vocalist Yasmine Liverneaux brings her French influence and socially conscious themes into the mix, setting the band apart with an intensity and depth that’s rarely seen in the genre.

With their Myspace-era throwback riffs, drop-tuned breakdowns, and sheer relentlessness, Face Yourself have become a staple of the modern deathcore era. Their ability to connect with fans worldwide and their tireless drive have made them a force to be reckoned with—and they’ve only just begun.
