Battle Beast returned to Finland in the middle of their European tour for some shows in their home country, including their biggest show yet, at Tampere’s Nokia Arena in front of more than 5000 happy fans.
Dynazty
There is already a pretty sizeable amount of people at the Arena at 20:00 when Dynazty from Sweden started their show and some of them are clearly here for them, just as much as for Battle Beast. Due to their popularity it makes sense that they got to play a set of a whole hour, that included song from their last five albums. The show was simplistic, but quite entertaining. And Singer Nils Molin did a nice job interacting with the crowd and animating them to sing along, especially during their final song of the evening, the hit ‘Heartless Madness‘.
Setlist:

Game of Faces

The Grey

Battle Beast
Battle Beast have come along way over the years. According to Bassist Eero Sipilä, Battle Beast had a gig at Tampere’s Dog’s Home in the year 2015 in front of a total of 5 people. And now they have reached a point were they, as a headliner, can fill big arenas, just like huge stars like the Scorpions, Iron Maiden and Bryan Adams or ice hockey teams like Tappara or Ilves (Eero‘s examples). It’s as unbelievable to me, as it is to him, although it is well deserved.
Even thought they have a lot more fans nowadays, they still clearly have a strong connection with their fans. The front row is filled with people that have been a fan for years and years. And then there’s this slightly crazy (in a good way) fan who brought a ticket to every single gig of Battle Beast’s current tour. But the thing (aside from the music) that kept me interested in Battle Beast over the years is, that they seem to love their fans as much as we love them. Which became very clear, when Eero got moved to tears by a surprise that some fans organised where they waved white hearts during ‘Eden‘. Singer Noora as well is close to (happy) tears a couple of times while looking at the crowd.
Now the gig itself is a lot, actually in some ways a little too much in my opinion. There is three drum kits and three percussion masters (Patrik Fält and Joonas Kaikko in addition to Pyry Vikki) . There is fire and sparks and other special effects everywhere almost all the time. They weren’t kidding when they said they were ready to blow the roof off Nokia Arena. Personally I would prefer a bit less of this. It is well done, I just think their music and performance, also not to forget their absolutely amazing light show, speak enough for themselves that they wouldn’t need as much extra “boom”.
The show, that lasted approximately two hours, covered songs from the last four albums, with a majority of them obviously being from their current album ‘Steelbound‘ which was released on 17 October 2025. Overall a very fun show that I wouldn’t mind at all seeing again.
