Grailknights release epic power metal version of ABBA classic ‘Super Trouper’

Power Metal

After the successful release of their latest studio album Forever in October 2025 via PERCEPTION – A Division Of Reigning Phoenix Music followed by an extensive European tour with ALL FOR METAL, metal superheroes GRAILKNIGHTS are back with a new surprise for their fans. Now, the band unleashes the album bonus track: an epic power metal version of the timeless ABBA classic “Super Trouper!”

Known for their high-energy sound, heroic storytelling, and unmistakable style, GRAILKNIGHTS transform the iconic pop anthem into a thunderous metal spectacle. Driving guitars, powerful drums, and soaring vocals give the beloved song a completely new dimension while preserving the spirit that made it a global hit. With this release, the band once again proves that even legendary pop songs can be reborn in the world of superhero metal.

“We’re paying tribute to one of the greatest pop anthems of all time with Super Trouper – the Superhero Metal way!” comments Count Cranium (guitars, vocals). “We took this ABBA classic out of the disco and turned it into a powerful metal version that keeps the melody and its unmistakable identity, but reinterprets it with heavy riffs, epic energy, and a tongue-in-cheek sense of heroic pathos. A cover that builds bridges between genres, the dancefloor, and the mosh pit.”

The song is now available on all major streaming platforms.

Packed with anthemic choruses, powerful riffs, and the band’s trademark mix of heroism and humor, the bands lates studio offering, Forever, marks the Knights’ most dynamic and unifying chapter yet. With songs made for the moshpit and the gym alike, the album delivers everything fans love about GRAILKNIGHTS:catchy power metal, epic storytelling, and a dose of tongue-in-cheek self-awareness that turns every show into a celebration.

Forever is out via PERCEPTION and available on all digital platforms and in physical formats.

If it’s on their 2004 debut album “Across The Galaxy,” its follow-ups “Return To Castle Grailskull” and “Alliance” or their tales of the past 15 years (“Calling The Choir,” “Knightfall” & “Muscle Bound For Glory”), GRAILKNIGHTS’ goal has remained the same – the Holy Grail must be returned to Grailham City! Their mission also led their flight path to stages around the globe, which they boldly dominated as headlining act and shared with acts such as SABATON, ALL FOR METAL, FEUERSCHWANZ, BROTHERS OF METAL and TWILIGHT FORCE among others, always supported by their brave fan base aka the Battlechoir.

During the years, some of these equally brave musicians have also lent their additional vocal support to the Hanover, Germany based squad: Tracks like ‘Turbo Boost [feat. FEUERSCHWANZ]’ but especially ‘Pumping Iron Power,’ which was graced by SABATON’s Joakim Brodén, crafted additional intergalactic bondings between the band and metalheads worldwide, and saw GRAILKNIGHTS’ success numbers go through the roof with ‘Pumping Iron Power’ recently hitting 15 million Spotify streams only.

Highly experienced in both studio and live battles, the superheroic metal group have faced and overcome several evil powers over time, and have just opposed Dr. Skull in full length once again with their 7th adventure.

GRAILKNIGHTS are:
Sir Optimus Prime | vocals
Sovereign Storm | guitars, vocals
Count Cranium | guitars, vocals
Duncan MacLoud | bass, vocals
Lord Drumcules | drums
