July15th releases new singles

July15h are a German based melodic death metal band. They were active in 2022, had some line up changes and decided that 2025 is the year for them. They have scheduled some releases, where you’ll read about in a second. And if I have to believe the band, much more is about to come!

Ocean Ruins, released on July 3rd 2025, marks the beginning of a new chapter, says lead singer Cherry Sommerfeld. Drums open the track, soon followed by low guitar strums. Meanwhile, the video shows dead animals, who died due to pollution of the sea. On top come the growls of lead singer Cherry. Her growls are low and brutal, her clean singing is very high and clean. A great contrast is created and peaks your attention. Meanwhile, the video keeps showing dead sea animals or animals in the sea being captured and mistreated. I think the message is clear.

Through the Frame, released on August 21 2025, slow and low guitar strums open the song, followed by a small riff, followed by a palm muted riff. Cherry’s growling vocals come on top and create a statement once again. The chorus shows her clean vocals, which are very high pitched. Her growling does sooth the songs better. The drums are much faster on this song, creating a different feeling than Ocean Ruins did.
