After a year and a half of live shows being put on hold, State Champs returned to the stage to headline the 2021 Pure Noise Tour. The band took the road in September including openers Bearings, Just Friends, Four Year Strong, and Real Friends. The nationwide tour is finishing out with two sold out shows in New York City, but tonight fans gathered at Soma San Diego for a night they’ll never forget.

Openers Bearings, Just Friends, Four Year Strong, and Real Friends got the crowd hyped up with their own unique sound, each band increasing the crowd’s energy. Finishing off with Real Friends, fans were jittery trying to contain their excitement waiting for State Champs to take the stage. Fans started chanting for State Champs to join the stage and took the stage in style by with confetti flying into the air. The crowd went wild, and the crowd surfing began to start. State Champs started with some of their newer songs throwing in some classics from Secrets, Outta My Head, Dead and Gone and surprising everyone with covers of “Stiches” by Shawn Mendes and “Chicago is so Two Years Ago” by Fall Out Boy.

As the night came to an end, everyone enjoyed the last few songs, some people not wanting to leave the stage reminiscing in their memories. State Champs would then hit the road for their next stop in Los Angeles at the Belasco!
