We met up with a seemingly relaxed Henkka, who seemed all too happy to be back on the Tuska stage with Tyrantti. After last year’s show with his other band Krypta, it’s a bit like coming home. And he was really looking forward to getting to playing the songs from their latest album ‘Ihmispyramidi‘ live for a bigger crowd there.

Talking about that album, Henkka feels that people were not expecting an album that heavy and dark, but neither did they. They just did what they felt like doing and somehow the darkness of the world resonated in the songwriting. But the people have liked it, which Tyrantti is all too happy about, that the fans go along with them evolving. We also end up chatting about how the energy on the album always matches with the energy they bring live. Tyrantti is always a solid heavy metal experience live, no backing track, old school straight in your face high energy heavy metal.

And talking about an experience, on July 12th Tyrantti is teaming up yet again with FCF Wrestling to put together an event never seen before in Finland! “Lihaa mattoon!” will be bringing Tyrantti to the Ääniwalli stage, while there will also be some matches by Finland’s leading wrestling company FCF Wrestling. And Henkka was telling us that he had heard through the grapevine that a lot more will be happening also off the performance stages and that some of the shows will be bleeding into each other (pun intended)! People will get a lot of entertainment for their money for sure! And somehow the kind of music Tyrantti brings is a perfect match with what FCF Wresling is doing, it’ll be interesting to see the fans of both sides blend and discover something new and exciting possibly!
