Wacken, prepare for the hellfire that Dark Funeral will bring upon you!

On August 1st, they return to the sacred grounds of Wacken Open Air — but this will be far from just another show…

“To mark this unholy gathering, we will summon the full force of Diabolis Interium (2001) — the very album that first catapulted us to a global audience,” says Lord Ahriman. “For the first time ever, we will perform it in its entirety — from the first cursed note to the final infernal breath. This will be a celebration of darkness, forged in pure black flame.”

And as if that wasn’t enough, the set will also feature a selection of our most iconic and fan-favorite songs — making this night a total infernal experience.

But the ritual does not end there…

“We’re bringing the biggest stage production and pyro show Dark Funeral has ever unleashed,” Ahriman continues. “A visual and sonic inferno — a tribute to the legacy we’ve carved over more than 30 years in the name of black metal. And for the devoted, we’ve created exclusive Diabolis Interium merchandise, available only at the festival.”

This show will also mark the beginning of a new chapter — as we now set our sights on taking Dark Funeral to even greater heights.
