Absinthe Green release new single ‘Bittersweet’ from upcoming debut album

Alternative Metal, Alternative Rock

Absinthe Green released their new single ‘Bittersweet‘ from upcoming debut album Of Love And Pain. “Bittersweet” is a raw portrayal of love’s darker side, where heartbreak and ecstasy coexist in a chaotic, addictive bond. The song dives into the emotional extremes of a relationship built on passion, pain, and power struggles, capturing the thrill of intensity even when it’s destructive. With visceral lyrics and a confessional edge, it reflects the allure of losing yourself in something that both consumes and completes you.

Filmed and Edited by Alikistis Terzi

Absinthe Green began as a personal project in 2016, led by songwriter and producer ‘Absinthe Green’ in Dortmund, Germany. After moving back to Greece in 2019, Absinthe was Eirini joined by drummer Harry Mason, bassist Villy Pirris, and later guitarist Panos Economakis, forming the full band lineup. Since then, they’ve been captivating audiences with their emotionally charged sound, fusing pop elements, aggressive guitars, groovy rhythms, and a versatile vocal range.

Genres blur and definitions falter when it comes to Absinthe Green. Whether you call them Alternative Metal, Hard Rock, or something else entirely, their music is a rich tapestry of influences and life experiences. A critic once described them as “a melodic storm of beauty and heartbreak, both ferocious and tender.” Soul-stirring vocals shift seamlessly between power and fragility, while skillful guitar work and infectious grooves underpin melodies that cut straight to the core.

Absinthe’s songwriting is raw and unflinching, revealing deep truths about love, pain, and redemption. Their lyrics explore life’s duality—where joy and sorrow, hope and despair coexist in an ever-shifting dance. The band’s debut album, Of Love and Pain , produced by renowned producer Hiili Hiilesmaa, will be released in 2025. It ventures into the contradictions of the human experience, where destruction and creation, light and darkness, merge in a symphony of emotional depth and power.
