Danish prog metal trio Press To Enter releases virtuosic and energetic new single and video ‘Out of My Hands’

Progressive Metal

Danish PRESS TO ENTER is a progressive metal group striving to blend a wide range of genres in order to explore a brighter and more colorful side of metal music. This can be experienced first hand, as the band released its brand new single ‘Out of My Hands’. The song and its accompanying video follows up on their debut album ‘From Mirror To Road’ and presents a vibrant evolution of the band’s sound, embracing elements of funky pop, djent metal, and prog rock.

Just as PRESS TO ENTER’s music is multifaceted, the band’s expression embraces both the good and bad, and the challenges that come with life. Julie describes the song’s theme:

“The song is about a lack of empathy from people you care about, whose emotions swing back and forth, leaving you unsure of where you stand with them. This results in the fate of the conflict — and the relationship with the person — being out of your hands.”

PRESS TO ENTER aims to create music that evokes a wide spectrum of emotions in the listener. All feelings are welcome, thus making the music inclusive: whether you want to headbang, dance, smile, laugh, or cry — the music can fit the mood, depending on who you are and where you are in life. ‘Out of My Hands’ is heavy, hard, and technical, yet the lyrics reveal the fragile sides of life, drawing from the members’ personal experiences.

‘Out of My Hands’ is self-produced by PRESS TO ENTER, with drums recorded by Adam Janzi from VOLA, and—as on the debut album—the renowned American producer Adam Bentley handled mixing and mastering. The single not only represents an expansion of the band’s musical vision but also marks the next important step towards the trio’s second album, which is currently taking shape and expected to be released in 2026.

While working on new music, PRESS TO ENTER is also playing shows, primarily in their homeland of Denmark, with the next concert being Metalvation in Odense on October 5th and more shows will be announced soon.

PRESS TO ENTER was formed in 2020 by guitarist Simon Laulund and bassist Lucas Szczyrbak, who were soon joined by vocalist Julie Jules Wingreen, and the band solidified and gained momentum. In the fall of 2023, PRESS TO ENTER released their debut album ‘From Mirror To Road’, which, among others, was published by the Japanese label VAG (Arch Echo, Jack Gardiner, Owane), and it was met with enthusiasm from press and audiences worldwide.

Throughout 2024 and 2025, PRESS TO ENTER played concerts across Denmark, including a sold-out Aalborg Metal Festival 2024, Nordic Noise 2025, and shows with like-minded Danish bands such as Isbjörg and Danefae. Along the way, the band has also collaborated with renowned artists like Evan Marien (Tigran Hamasyan, Virgil Donati), Nate Hill (Tool, Korn), Adam Bentley, and Joey Izzo (Arch Echo, Jacob Collier), strengthening their sound and artistic expression. PRESS TO ENTER is now writing and preparing their second album.
