Swartzheim unleash new single & video ‘Wounds’ from upcoming album
“‘Wounds’ is also the title of the album, as it’s the song that captures the overall theme of the record. The song is about how all your flaws and bad decisions can follow you throughout your life —and the frustrations that come with that. This is reflected in the instrumentation, which is very intense but occasionally slows down, as this kind of panic often comes in waves.”
Formed in 2018 in Randers, Denmark, SWARTZHEIM consists of Jeppe Halse Fugleberg (vocals), Joe Thinggaard Timmins (guitar), Niels (Napalm) Kasule (guitar), Ebbe Hyldahl Rask (bass), and Sebastian Vestergaard (drums).
Despite not having released a debut album yet, the band has managed to play at festivals such as Wacken Open Air (2024) and Copenhell (2025). This is due to the raw and frantic live energy the band brings.
The relatively young crossover metal band has already headlined independent concerts abroad and played at smaller festivals in countries including Norway, Sweden, and Germany. In addition, they’ve become a recognized name in Denmark’s underground metal scene, having played at the SPOT festival twice, the Copenhell Metal Cruise, and opened for bands like Terror and Power Trip.
Now, after a lot of hard work, the band is ready to release their debut album. A team has also been assembled, including a manager, booking agents, a promotion agency, and a distributor for the album.
