Egyptian death metal titans Scarab sign with Brutal Records

Brutal Records is proud to officially announce the signing of SCARAB, Egypt’s pioneering death metal force, to its global roster. This partnership marks a major milestone for both parties, uniting SCARAB’s ritualistic death metal vision with one of the most respected underground metal labels in the world—Brutal Records (USA), active since 1986.

This new alliance signals a devastating new era for SCARAB, as their ancient sonic incantations are prepared for worldwide release under the Brutal Records banner.

Statement from SCARAB

“We are very happy to join forces with Brutal Records. This marks a new era for SCARAB, and we are looking forward to what we are going to be putting out to the world through Brutal Records. Let the magick begin!”

Upcoming Releases via Brutal Records SCARAB and Brutal Records are already preparing devastating new material for release:

  • Transmutation of Fate (EP – May 8th, 2026) A metaphysical journey through destiny, transformation, and awakening, delivered through dark, atmospheric, and ritual-driven death metal.
  • Blinding the Masses [Reincarnated] (LP – July 31th, 2026) A brutal reimagining of SCARAB’s debut album—heavier, sharper, and reborn for a new generation of extreme metal devotees.

Formed in 2006, SCARAB has become synonymous with ferocity, atmosphere, and spiritual intensity. Their sound fuses uncompromising death metal with Middle Eastern and Egyptian mysticism, creating a ritualistic experience that transcends borders and cultures.

Led by Sammy Sayed (vocals, orchestrations), alongside Tarek Amr (guitars), Omar Abou Doma (guitars), Mohamed El Sherbieny (bass), Amir El-Saidi (drums), and Sherif Elias (keyboards/synth), SCARAB channels ancient mythology through crushing riffs, cinematic arrangements, and relentless aggression.

The band holds a historic place in metal history as the first Egyptian extreme metal band to perform internationally, appearing at major festivals such as Dubai Desert Rock Festival (UAE), With Full Force Festival (Germany), and Bloodstock Open Air (UK).

This signing represents more than a business agreement—it is an awakening. With Brutal Records’ global reach and SCARAB’s uncompromising vision, the coming releases will expand the band’s mythology and deliver apocalyptic death metal where the sacred and the savage collide.

Stay tuned for release dates, preorders, and exclusive content.
