Bigmoth release title track from their upcoming debut album ‘Meggah Konstrukt’

Marking the first glimpse into their forthcoming debut album, ‘Meggah Konstrukt’ is a ferocious introduction to a band operating at full creative tilt. Packed with punishing riffs, dynamic shifts, and uncompromising intensity, the track hits with immediate force, showcasing BIGMOTH’s signature blend of intricate grooves, unconventional song structures and visceral vocal delivery.

Speaking about the track, the band states;

“This song is inspired by one of my favourite characters since childhood – Yautja (aka Predator). At the time I wanted to explore writing a more fictional lyric and have recently wrapped another marathon and a little read on Predator, so this was a fun little experiment.”

Having spent the past year immersed in the writing and recording process, BIGMOTH temporarily stepped off the grid in September 2024 to focus on shaping their debut full-length. Operating as a trio during this period, the band combined pre-production with an extensive search for a permanent drummer. When that search proved more challenging than anticipated, they enlisted the talents of acclaimed progressive drummer Mike Malyan (Monuments), who laid down the majority of the album’s drum track, bringing precision and power to the band’s already formidable sound.

‘Meggah Konstrukt’ stands as a bold and uncompromising preview of what lies ahead. Relentless from the outset, the single delivers a carefully controlled chaos, balancing technicality with groove, and aggression with atmosphere.

Now, with a full line-up in place, BIGMOTH are preparing to take their material to the stage, armed with months of new music and a renewed sense of purpose. Their debut album is slated for release in 2026, with further details to be announced in the coming months.

Hailing from Amsterdam, BIGMOTH are quickly carving out a name for themselves with a sound that refuses to be boxed in. Fusing elements of progressive metal, groove metal, hardcore, and beyond, the band’s music is defined by its raw energy, complex arrangements, and fearless approach to composition.

Each member brings a distinct musical background, resulting in a powerful and unique sonic identity that sets them apart within the modern heavy landscape.

BIGMOTH are:
Zemfira Baghirova – vocals
Yannik Sieburg – guitar
Misha Voeykov- bass guitar
Jynn de Jongh – drums
