Hyro The Hero releases new single and video ‘King Cobra’

Alternative Metal, Alternative Rock, Rap Metal

Houston-bred rap-rock disruptor Hyro The Hero returns with his explosive new single “King Cobra,” out now via Out Of Line Music. The track arrives alongside a music video and marks the latest chapter in one of heavy music’s most relentless ascents.

Co-written and produced by Ben Bruce (Asking Alexandria), “King Cobra” is built for the pit and the cinema screen at once. Hip-hop swagger, punk aggression, and crushing rock collide in a track that moves with predatory confidence. It’s a natural next step from Hyro‘s recent collaboration with The Bloody Beetroots on “STOMPERS,” which demonstrated his ability to command any sonic territory he enters.

Lyrically, “King Cobra” frames survival as dominance. Drawing on the imagery of the action films that shaped a generation – the outnumbered hero, the impossible odds, the ultimate triumph – the track turns personal resilience into a cinematic statement.

“Imagine capturing the grittiness, struggle and triumphant ending of the action movies we grew up on in a song. I wanted to capture that emotion and hold it on repeat every time you play King Cobra. Musically and lyrically it is the nostalgic feeling of surviving when the enemy is against you told through music instead of film. We find a way to make it to the top and beat out every obstacle we face in life.” – Hyro The Hero

The single arrives with Hyro‘s live profile at full force. He is confirmed to perform at Greenfield Festival (June, 2026, Switzerland) 2000trees Festival (July, UK) and Furiosfest Open Air (August, FR).

Hyro The Hero doesn’t follow trends; he creates his own lane. A Houston-bred disruptor fuelled by hip-hop, punk, and heavy rock, he’s carved out a style that’s raw, explosive, and unmistakably his. Over the years, Hyro has earned critical praise from BBC, Kerrang!, and Alt Press, celebrated for his ability to bridge cultures and rally listeners around something bigger than music. After earning co-signs from heavyweights like David Draiman, Spencer Charnas, and Chad Gray, Hyro took his mission global – relocating to France and storming stages across Europe with a live show that’s pure chaos and catharsis. With a new album on the way, “King Cobra” is the latest move in a campaign that’s louder, sharper, and more focused than ever.
