Heavy dream pop duo Sisar released a new video and single from upcoming album

Sisar is a new Helsinki-based heavy dream pop duo formed by Nora Moberg and Remi Rousselle. Their furious and hypnotic sound is beautiful and vocal-driven, but the heavy guitars and bleak drum machine form its solid foundation. The band’s musical influences include the dream pop legend Cocteau Twins, torchbearer of industrial metal Godflesh, and the pioneer of alternative metal Deftones. The result is a sound that is unique and distinctive; the music can appeal to fans of pop, metal, and alternative rock alike.

The music of Sisar is at once dark and hopeful, heavy and naive. Images of nature intertwined with fundamental human questions; love, death, and change are the central themes of the album. On stage the band transforms into a trio that is both heavy and delicate, with catchy choruses cutting through the wall of sound.

Sisar’s first singles sparked interest in the media and reached listeners through radio airplay. Sisar was also selected for Finnish broadcasting company Yle’s Tulevaisuuden tekijät (Makers of the Future) list and as an artist on YleX Noste (On the Rise) in February 2026.
