Gouge Away stream new single “Hey Mercy” from upcoming debut “Burnt Sugar”!

Hardcore, News

Floridian punks Gouge Away will release their Deathwish debut, Burnt Sugar, this Friday. In anticipation, they’ve released the album’s third single “Hey Mercy” in conjunction with Kerrang!’s Underground Sounds of America.

Next week, Gouge Away will embark on an extensive worldwide tour; first, an East Coast run alongside Culture Abuse followed by a UK tour together. Upon their return to the States, Gouge Away will head back out on the road in November, this time with Drug Church.  The tour will take the bands from the West Coast, through the Midwest, eventually ending back in Gouge Away’s home state.

Mixed and mastered by Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Oathbreaker) and co-produced by Jeremy Bolm (Touche Amore), Burnt Sugar  takes cues from bands such as Unwound, The Jesus Lizard and Fugazi. Gouge Away carry with them a lightning-in-a-bottle urgency that imbues their sound; this is a band that refuses to be ignored.
