Draconicon releases music video for new single ‘Theatre of Sorrow’

Power Metal

The Italian power metal band DRACONICON just released a music video for “Theatre of Sorrow”, the third single from their new album “Pestilence”. “Theatre of Sorrow” is a dark and epic metal track with dynamic songwriting and a chorus that sticks with you. The single is available on all digital platforms and you can check out the music video on YouTube below.

Simon Borgen of DRACONICON comments on the new single:

“‘Theatre of Sorrow’ is a song close to my heart on this album, a unique lyrical journey I hope our fans will embrace. It’s a glimpse into uncharted territory, and I can’t wait for you to experience it with us.”

The sound of DRACONICON is European style power metal inspired by the great masters of the genre with influences ranging from extreme metal and metalcore to classical music. The result is a unique timbre that will take the listener into the dark world of Draconicon. “Pestilence” should be perfect for fans of bands like Kamelot, Powerwolf, Sabaton, Gloryhammer, Orden Ogan and Arion!

With a strong new album and an impressive live show, DRACONICON are ready to prove to the metal world that they are a force to be reckoned with! Don’t miss out on DRACONICON and “Pestilence”!

“Pestilence” will be released on CD, limited vinyl editions and digital on November 17th via Inner Wound Recordings.

Draconicon, hailing from Italy, delivers their sophomore album titled “Pestilence” under Inner Wound Recordings. This Italian power metal ensemble has evolved their sound, fusing dark gothic atmospheres reminiscent of their introduction to the world in “Dark Side of Magic.” With influences ranging from extreme metal to classical music, “Pestilence” emerges not only as a reflection of the band’s musical prowess but also as a commentary on mental instability, pain, and sadness, influenced by the challenging pandemic era. Collaborating with Francesco Ferrini for orchestral arrangements, the album promises to take listeners on a journey through the darker aspects of humanity. Drawing inspiration from iconic bands like Kamelot and Sabaton, Draconicon‘s “Pestilence” is a testament to their growth and a showcase of their unique European power metal sound.

Line-up:
Alex Moth – Guitar, Backing Vocals
Grym Hünter – Guitar, Backing Vocals
Simon Borgen – Violin, Backing Vocals
