Modern metal band Pridian released new single/video ‘Hive Mind’

Estonian modern metal band PRIDIAN is celebrating the release of their debut EP “Cybergnosis” with unveiling the last single and an impressive official music video for “Hive Mind”!

PRIDIAN comment on “Hive Mind”:

The song laments the loss of personal identity and the pressures to assimilate into a collective mindset, the deceptive nature of conformity, and the desire to break free from this stifling environment.

Its ominous synthlines and melancholic vocal lines enhance the pessimistic side of this human character, bringing a strong contrast to the up-tempo high-energy choruses, which for some may evoke more optimistic feelings, but for others emphasise this inner disaster even further.”

PRIDIAN is a four-piece modern metal ensemble hailing from Tartu, Estonia founded in 2018. The band describes their sound as energetic and cinematic, bringing together fast-paced polyrhythmic grooves with massive and dark sounding electronic elements. At the core of PRIDIAN are Jörg-Erik Hanikat and Martin Randalu on guitar, Robert Leht on drums and Laur Lindmäe on vocals.

In June of 2021, the band released their debut album “The Rotten Unknown” (released under the name ÆØNS). Following their success of their album release and first shows, their debut album was nominated for the “Metal Album of The Year” award by the Estonian Music Awards, consisting of a panel of 160 judges and members of the Estonian Author´s Society (EAÜ) and the Estonian Association of the Phonogram Producers (EFÜ). With their low-tuned riffs and industrial electronic sounds, PRIDIAN already proved that they can rock stages and move crowds. Although the addition of cinematic and electronic instrumentation is an important part of their sound, the band’s main theme and inspiration comes from what they experience and feel around them. In addition, PRIDIAN draws its sound and messages from other creative works, a world in turmoil and the need for continuous self-development. PRIDIAN has performed at Estonia’s biggest metal festivals: Hard Rock Laager, Barbar Feast and Tallinn Music Week. The band has also shared the stage with artists such as Humanity’s Last Breath and Atlas.
